Elling has settled for Cummins diesel engines

Since 1937, Cummins has been building diesel engines with specific properties which make them suitable for use in luxury yachts. The Cummins diesel engines are the only diesel engines in their class which successfully passed the arduous 1.000 hour US Navy test.
The Elling E3 can be delivered with 6 different engines: 76hp, 180hp, 330hp, 370hp, 450hp and 635hp.
The Elling E3 comes in a range of fuel tank capacities, approximately 400 litres standard, with the option of a larger thank no less than 3.800 litres. The 3.800 litres option makes the E3 transatlantic which means that you can cross the ocean under your vessel´s own power.

Special developed propeller for Elling

It is quite a task to develop the proper propeller if one does not posses all necessary data. For the E3, its resistance was precisely established during its many towing tests. By combining these data with all know-how of naval architects Mulder Design, we were able to arrive at the very best propeller design.
